Day 31: Some people believe that it is good for students to have the same teacher for several years. Others think students benefit more from having new teachers each year. Which do you think is better? Give specific reasons to support your opinion.

Many people claim that having the same teacher for several years is a good way for students, while some people prefer having new teachers annually. In my opinion, I think having new teachers each year is better.

It is worth considering that changing teacher after one educational year can bring students a variety of benefits.

First of all, every teacher has her or his own style of teaching. Students can have the opportunity to learn different skills from different teachers. For instance, I can learn how to manage my time from my first teacher. In the second year, I can learn about how to use software in my studying, etc,..One reason behind this is no one is the same, and we all have different life experiences.

Second, this kind of learning will help students to have a better adaptability in different environment. For example, they will not be shy when they meet a new person, which improve their confidence and flexibility. Students will have to get acquaintance with new studying methods from the new teacher. If students can do that, I believe that they can improve their soft skills very well. Moreover, according to experts, adaptability is extremely important in their future higher education and occupation.

Finally, there is a fact that, we should have a mentor for ourselves. Isaac Newton said that “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” Personal speaking, having different teachers annually will give students the opportunity to find their own mentor.

In conclusion, I want to emphasize that having same teacher for several years is not bad. However, in my opinion, having different teachers annually is better. The advantages of it outweigh its disadvantages.
