Day 34: According to most doctors, adults need thirty minutes of physical activity at least five days a week to be healthy. However, most adults do not get this recommended amount of exercise. What can be done to help people get the exercise they need? Give examples to support your answer.
In the upcoming years, with the advancement of technology, physical exercise has been ignored by humans, especially between adults. Adults should move more and sit less throughout the day. Some physical activity is better than none. In order to restore physical exercise in human and achieve a daily target of 30 minutes, I will give out some of my ideas in this essay.
First, in my opinion, the work environment has a great impact on physical training of each person. The reason is that, nowadays, most of us are working in front of a computer so that we are very passive. According to a survey, office workers spend 1,700 hours a year in front of a computer screen. If there is an additional room for sports practice at the workplace this will arouse some physical activity for employees. For example, colleagues can play table tennis together for about 30 minutes at leisure time to relieve stress and improve health for each person.
Second, we should encourage adults to use stairs instead of elevators. Stair use is an activity that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Stairs are everywhere, but they are rarely embraced as an option for getting into shape. When using stairs, we can create a workout that returns maximum value in a minimum time, with low impact. In addition, researchers found that using stairs may not grant people an extra 15 minutes a day. We can both save time and do the workout, kill two birds with one arrow.
To conclude, thirty minutes a day can save your life and improve your health. I cannot say that my ideas are great, however, it might work some ways. Therefore, you can apply them into daily life to get a better health.
