Day 37: Some students choose to study in another country for a time during high school or university. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad?

People always desire to have a better lives. The best option that most of us think about is studying abroad. In this essay, I will point out the pros and cons of studying abroad.

There are many advantages of going abroad for studying. First, we can improve our skills a lot when being taught in such an open environment, for example in Europe. Moreover, our language skills will be improved faster because we have a chance to practise them with native speakers. In my opinion, studying abroad has many things in common with travelling. We can have the opportunity to explore new culture, visit new places in the world or make friends with many people from different countries. Finally, most of those who back to their country after studying abroad will receive a job with better career growth opportunities with higher salary. Therefore, their lives will be improved and they can contribute more to the country.

However, everything has two sides of it. Studying abroad also has its disadvantages. First, students have to live far from home, they will miss their family, their friends and many things in mother country. Besides, when living in such an unfamiliar environment, they will feel so lonely. The reason is that they have to learn many new things, from languages to culture. Not only that, we have heard about discrimination between students from host country and students studying abroad. They have faced with many dangers outside. One important thing, most of them have to struggle with financial problem for instance tuition fee, money for renting house, etc.

In conclusion, going abroad is such a wonderful thing that we should do if we can. It has both ups and downs, however, the advantages seem to surpass the other.
