A month ago, in a meeting nọ, after a long time of discussing, commenting, and debating but the team did not have a clear ending. Since I was the one responsible for taking notes in every meeting, my big boss sent some notes from his side to me to consolidate the meeting minutes to make everything clear and send them back to the team.
After reading his notes, I had to say to him: “Woao, I think I have to improve my writing skill a lot”. Then he told me: “We always have room for improvement (no one is an exception)”.
A short sentence but kept it in my mind and give me more confidence to keep learning and updating on what I need to learn.
The thing I want to share here is that don’t be afraid too much if you are not doing something well: no one is good the first time.
- To gain knowledge, to equip a new skill, we need to take time to learn and experience.
- To learn and experience, we need to get out of the comfort zone inside our thoughts.
- To get out of the comfort zone, so ‘just do it!’
Of course, it might fail sometime, and it might get some negative feedback but all those things just focus on one thing: your improvement.
That’s it!!!
